BABY SHOWER, BANNER, FREE DOWNLOADS YIPEE!!!!

So I did a Baby shower with Chelsie from My best friends blog over the weekend and it turned out ADORBABLE! I wanted to first share a couple pictures with you and then do some tutorials! First off isn't her wall SO dang cute! I am in love with the wallpaper she chose!! LOVE IT!! Anyways we had Such a great time and the shower was a success! Look how cute!
OK so now lets talk about the banner shall we.

For my sons birthday I did the same thing but obviously different colors. I didnt want to spend a lot of money and I wanted the colors to be spot on SO I used.... drum roll.... Paint swatches. They are free and it made for a dang cute banner!

Here is how I did it:
1. Picked out the paint swatch colors at my local Walmart
2. figure out how you are going to have cut. You can leave them so they are rectangle...
3. or cut them out into triangles (take of the writing of coarse!) super easy
4. I used a whole punch to have my twine go through and connect all the squares. You can also justy tape them on the back if you want.
5. Use your twine to connect all of them together. I went over one and then under the next. (as you can see on the last picture!
And voila super easy and SUPER cute and FREE!!! It reallY was so fun to make!
BTW we added a couple pinwheels to some of them for an added touch. (I can do a tutorial on that later!)

OK so the invitation I did was so cute and I thought I would share one that you can customize yourself! Here is mine:

Here is one for you to DOWNLOAD BTW they are 5x7

I also had made some labels for the food:
Here are those for you to DOWNLOAD as well

You can DOWNLOAD them as well

Our Acts of kindness, Pay it forward, amazing anniversary!!

So for our anniversary we decided to do something a little different this year. Instead of having it be all about us and the 6 years we have been married, we decided to GIVE BACK. I can not tell you how much we looked forward to paying it forward and let me just say it honestly was THE BEST anniversary yet. It truly is such a great feeling when you can make someones day. Even with a smile and a friendly hello, it not only makes other people happy but you can not have a bad day with that kind of attitude!! So we had my mother in law come and watch the kids (thanks mama) and we headed out for the day. We made a list of things we wanted to do for the day and unfortunately we didn't get pictures of it all but I can write a list so you can have ideas if you ever want to do something like this (trust me you totally should!!)
1. Help someone with yard work. We went to my grandparents in the morning and surprised them with a lavender plant to plant in their yard. My husband fixed a couple sprinklers that needed to be fixed and I mowed the front and back yard and we also remover all the weeds.

my hubby and cute grandpa!
2 2. Then we went to lunch and saw that a local all stars baseball team was doing a car wash to raise money. Of coarse we stopped and donated some money and they insisted to wash the car.. They did a horrible job, ha ha, but it was funny and completely worth it :)

notice my grandpa pointing out where they missed! ha ha he made us laugh the whole time!

3. Then we headed to our local Walmart and help push all the carts back into the building and the guy was so thrilled that we helped him. (sorry no picture)

4. Then we decided to go and buy a $10 Walmart gift card and give it to the cart guy. He was so sweet and so happy about it!

Grandma, Matt (the cart guy) me and my husband Joey
5. This was one of the most rewarding things we did that day! We visited the local nursing homes and I am telling you, they brought tears to my eyes the way they lit up when you walked through the door. We bought 2 dozen roses, some licorice (individually wrapped) and some suckers. We gave the little ladies all a rose and I tell you what the suckers were the biggest hit! This is something I am going to do a lot more often and I am going to bring my kids next time! They would love it!
I did many more acts of kindness that day that I wasnt able to take pictures of,  but here is a list that I made to go off of:
(you can print this off its a size 8.5x11)
This was such an incredible moment to share with Joey. I will never ever forget that day. I will be doing this more often and trying to spread the word for everyone else to give back. What an amazing way to spend my anniversary.
IF YOU KNOW OF ANY MORE "PAYING IT FORWARD" IDEAS PLEASE SHARE. I AM WANTING MORE IDEAS!!
Also before I let end this post I wanted to share a flash back picture of the hubs and I. It was when we first started "hanging out" and then now. check it out:
Ha ha! Its crazy how time flies!

Thank for stopping by! Remember to "PAY IT FORWARD!"

Gift Idea

I was having a difficult time trying to think of a unique/affordable gift for my husband, for our anniversary. I wanted something thoughtful and sweet, so I brainstormed for a while, played with Photoshop for quite some time, and went through things I have done for him in years passed. I finally came up with something that I have done for him before BUT not in this kind of way. I have done the "framing a picture of us" and gave it to him but  I didn't want to do the same old boring thing so I made the picture a little bit more unique:

ahh isnt that sooooo cool!!! So I made in Photoshop (tutorial coming soon) then I printed it out at Costco for a $1 and bought the frame at walmart for $8, Total cost for a super personalized anniversary gift $9.00!!! (it could even be cheaper than that if you have a frame already!) He absolutely LOVED it so I can say that it was a success!! yippee!! Hope all those Daddys had a wonderful fathers day! Thanks for stopping by!

6 years

Sorry for the lack of posts lately... I am working on a couple projects and everything got put on hold for as couple days because my little man is sick! Mommy duty calls :) Anyways I will be posting more projects next week.
So on the Saturday the 16th I will have been married 6 years to the man of my dreams. I am so grateful to have such an incredible hard working man in my life. Our marriage is not perfect, BUT it is better than ever, and I am happy that I get to share my life with him. He is not only my husband but also my best friend! Joey and I met in middle school and were "boyfriend and girlfriend" ha ha its so funny to look back and think that we've been together for 11 years. Who knew that my little crush in the 9th grade would end up being the man I marry. Joey is the most incredible Dad, I could not have asked for a better father for my kids. Here is to 6 years of marriage and to many many more! I love you baby!
