Dining room wall

So I was trying to figure out what to do in my dining room. I felt like it was a bit boring. So I thought of doing wallpaper but it was way to expensive so I decided to stencil my wall and add faux wainscoting. This picture was a LONG time ago (back in 2008) before I even did anything to the wall. Although my little one makes the wall look good, ;) It was in need of some TLC......
PLAIN PLAIN PLAIN...so I did the wainscoting first (here is a horrible shot of it, but you get the idea) Cost about $25.

Needed to add a little more so I came across My inspiration picture and thought I could do that for a LOW cost DIY project......
So I made this stencil on Photoshop (i know its not perfect) and printed it out. Copied it onto cardboard and cut it out and outlined my wall with ONE stencil, with some left over paint I had, Yes it took a while. A little blood sweat and tears but it was finished and I LOVE IT!!!

Looks like wallpaper but it is custom painted by yours truly! My next project on this wall it to paint the frames to add some color, but for know they are fine. :) This DIY project only cost me a total of $30.
The shelf I had made for $100 which is one of my favorite pieces in my home! If you would like to have one ordered I can get one for you! $100 you cant beat it!

  1. Holy Crap! You have some major skills there. Good job on these projects the mirror was awesome and then you were successfully with the wall. I'm always amazing how women make a space nice. I have lived in my house for four years. Since Diana moved in it has become much more like a home. I am really impressed with your projects though very cool :)
